Nina Smith
Neurological Physiotherapist
Neuro Matters was established by Nina Smith, who has 16 years of extensive and varied neurological rehabilitation experience.
Nina qualified from Edinburgh in 1993 with a BSc (Hons) Degree in Physiotherapy. She worked in Norfolk from 1993-1996 where she gained a broad range of junior experience and specialised neurological skills as a Senior Physiotherapist. Nina then travelled and worked overseas, gaining experience in several rehabilitation centres in Australia as well as treating Aboriginal people in remote area communities.

Sam Smith

Clare Grocott
Neurological Physiotherapist
Clare qualified from Keele University in 2000 with a 2:1 BSc (Hons) Degree in Physiotherapy. She worked as a junior physiotherapist at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire (UHNS) and soon decided to specialise in neurological rehabilitation. She spent six years working on the Neurology, Neurosurgery and Acute Stroke Rehabilitation wards at UHNS. Clare now specialises in longer term neurological rehabilitation and has extensive experience of treating people with a variety of neurological conditions.
Sam graduated from Oxford Brookes University in 1996 with a BSc (Hons) Degree in Occupational Therapy (OT). She initially worked in South Manchester and gained experience in orthopaedics, cardiology, respiratory care and renal medicine. Sam achieved a senior clinical post specialising in Acute Stroke care in 1997. In 2003 she was promoted to Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist for Neurological Rehabilitation based at the Haywood Hospital, where she leads the OT services and has instigated a Multi-Disciplinary Spasticity Care Pathway.
